Latest Upgrade 3310 Version 3G

Remember the legendary old Nokia 3310 phone that was once popular in this country? There is good news here! This legendary old mobile phone is back with the latest version and is equipped with 3G connectivity. Just like the old version, the Nokia 3310 reborn was actually first introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2017 event last February with a 2G internet connection.

However, HMD Global as Nokia’s licensee finally introduced the latest version of the Nokia 3310 in September 2017 which has been equipped with 3G connectivity. This is because there are a number of countries that no longer support 2G connectivity, such as the United States, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand and the Netherlands.

“The reborn Nokia 3310 is a global and cultural phenomenon. In a world dominated by smartphones, this combination of nostalgia and beautiful mobile phones has caught people’s attention,” said Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, as quoted from the detikINET page.

The Nokia 3310 reborn can be used for calling, texting, taking photos and not to mention the latest version of the Snake game, which is also on this phone. In addition, this phone can also be used to open contemporary applications, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so on.

The first generation Nokia 3310 was launched in 2000 and was packed with iconic games; Snakes. The legendary game is also available on the 2017 version of the Nokia 3310 and the Nokia 3310 3G version, with a higher level of difficulty.

Quoted from the Mashable page, Australia will be the first country to be visited by the Nokia 3310 reborn on 16 October. Meanwhile, neighboring Singapore will get this upgraded edition of the mobile phone at the end of October 2017. After that this phone will be available globally and marketed for EUR69 or around Rp. 1 million.

There is still no word on whether the new Nokia 3310 will enter Indonesia or not. But if you see that the 2017 version of the Nokia 3310 has also been sold in Indonesia at a price of around Rp. 650,000, it is not impossible that the Nokia 3310 reborn will also be available in the Indonesian market in the near future.
