Nintendo Brings Game Consoles to Hospitals to Entertain Children in Care

It’s hard to find Nintendo Switch during the pandemic as people are looking for ways to get entertainment in their homes
GridGames.ID – The latest news comes from the world’s famous game company, Nintendo, which presents new game devices in various pediatric hospitals in the United States.
Reporting from the Kompas.com page, this program is the realization of a partnership with the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The non-profit organization aims to bring happiness to terminally ill children and their families.

Being stuck in the hospital for a long time is feared to be an unpleasant experience, especially for children.
So the organization is looking for better ways for sick children to spend time happily, even though they are undergoing treatment.
That’s the idea behind the new Nintendo Switch game console rolling out to hospitals and healthcare systems across the US.

This gaming set is the latest initiative to emerge from a years-long partnership between Nintendo America and the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
“Starlight Gaming has been a huge help in helping patients cope with hospitalizations,” said Lexi Little of Christus Shreveport-Bossier Health System in Shreveport, Louisiana.
“We express our deepest gratitude to Starlight for influencing the lives of our patients, families and staff members every day.”
