If we flashback, the biggest prize tournament in Indonesia in 2018 came from the Dota 2 game, namely from GESC Indonesia Minor.

While in 2019, the title was held by MPL Indonesia Season 4 for the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

Apart from the number, GESC Indonesia Minor is an international event for PC games, while MPL ID S4 is a national event for mobile games.

“I don’t know the plans for other games but, for MPL, we will try to keep the prize pool competitive and attractive. However, what is even more important for us is the experience that we can provide for pro players, spectators, and MPL partners or the entire MLBB esports ecosystem,” Lucas said.

As for platform trends, Lucas also believes that popular esports games must have a large user base.
