Razer Hammerhead USB-C, God Class Earphones!

After announcing the release of the Razer Phone, one of the criticisms that Razer Phone received was the lack of a 3.5mm audio jack even though as a smartphone for hardcore gamers, audio while playing games is certainly very important. Therefore, Razer presents Razer Phone gaming accessories, namely god-class earphones; Razer Hammerhead USB-C.

One aspect of the Razer Phone that has come under criticism from reviewers is the absence of the traditional 3.5-millimeter audio port. This directive is indeed applied to a number of flagship devices, but for ‘hardcore gamer’ smartphones that promise ‘audiophile class’ 24-bit audio, the manufacturer’s decision does feel odd. Even so, Razer has a solution to patch this deficiency.

In terms of housing design, the Razer Hammerhead USB-C is similar to the Hammerhead Pro V2 which carries an industrial theme with a ring area that comes with a rough texture, black housing body parts and Razer’s signature green trio snake logo on the outside of the housing cup.

The body of this earphone is made of aluminum which is lightweight but still durable and long lasting. Both earpieces have magnets that can be attached to each other when not in use. And as the name implies, the connectivity of this earphone uses a USB type-C connector with a 1.3 meter long tangle-free flat cable that is Razer’s signature green. Razer has embedded a control module in the cable section to receive or hang up teepn calls, adjust the volume, change the currently playing song and fast forward / rewind functions without having to hold the smartphone.
