Tournament News

The International 7’s latest information regarding DotA 2 Caster is the announcement of names, such as Kaci, and new host Sean “Day9” Plott via the dashboard or in the talent section of Compendium. Valve has also released the official tournament website, and the tournament schedule and format are as follows:

Group Phase: 2 August – 5 August 2017. The best four teams from each group will move to the Upper Bracket, and the fourth to eighth place will be entered into the Lower Bracket, the lowest rank of the group will be eliminated.

The International 7 Main Event: 7 August – 12 August 2017 – As in the previous year, 16 teams will compete through the best 3 multiple elimination playoff system. The first round of the Lower Bracket is a best one, and the Grand Final uses a best five system.

Submitting videos will end on August 11th.

Extended Battle Pass

Players may have noticed that the Battle Pass Season has been extended from the previous August 20 in order to accommodate the delayed release of Act I of the Siltbreaker. There was also an extension made until September 18, 2017.
