Launching from Eurogamer.net, Epic Games Store has spent trillions of rupiah to bring exclusive games and free games on its platform.

Through these exclusive games and free games, Epic Games Store wants to take over Steam’s dominance in the world of game distribution services.

Launching from PC Gamer, in 2020, the Epic Games Store has spent more than 444 Million US Dollars or around Rp. 6.5 Trillion as a guarantee for game developers to want to exclusive their games on the Epic Games Store.

It should be noted that the Rp 6.5 trillion fund is an initial guarantee fund or it can also be called a ‘DP’ or Down Payment.

This means that the Epic Games Store is spending more money than we thought.

The data regarding Epic Games Store’s spending was obtained after the company was involved in a legal battle with Apple.

Apple revealed that the Epic Games Store had lost 181 million US dollars or around Rp. 2.6 trillion in 2019.

Furthermore, Apple also provides data stating that in 2020 the Epic Game Store has suffered a loss of 273 million US Dollars or around Rp. 4 trillion.
