Mozilla Will Launch VPN Service Called Mozilla VPN

Mozilla VPN

Mozilla is the name of the company that makes Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firefox itself is a search engine browser service. Mozilla is reportedly developing a VPN service since last year under the name Firefox Private Network.

At first the VPN service called Firefox Private Network was available in Beta and in the form of an extension for the browser only. Now Mozilla is ready to rename Firefox Private Network to Mozilla VPN.

Mozilla VPN will launch as a Standalone service not as a browser extension anymore. The plan is that Mozilla VPN will be released on platforms such as Android, Windows, iOS, Chrome OS, while for Mac and Linux Mozilla will present the VPN service in the future.

Regarding the cost, it seems that Mozilla will present this service for a fee, which is different from the previous service available for free, namely the Beta version of Firefox Private Network. The price is 4.99 USD or can be rounded up to 5 USD if converted to around 71 thousand Rupiah per month. This Mozilla VPN service is supported by Mullvad which has servers in more than 30 countries, they also use the WireGuard standard which provides privacy to users besides the brand is also committed to not saving any privacy from users.

This Mozilla VPN will be present for the first time in the United States, so it is specifically for internet users in that country. However, it is possible for this VPN service to be present in other areas such as Indonesia.

Mozilla does not provide this VPN service for free. The reason is that they will benefit from selling Mozilla VPN, not from using user data for profit.
