Riot Games Announces LoL Worlds 2021 eSports Event Host Location

GridGames.ID – Riot Games has finally announced the location of the city that will host the biggest annual eSports League of Legends event, Worlds 2021.

Reporting from EsportsInsider, the organizers announced that the city of Shenzen, China will host the 2021 eSports Worlds event.

The Covid-19 virus pandemic stopped Riot Games from hosting tournaments in cities last year.

They said they would return to normal Worlds competitions in 2021 and more information on the cities would follow.

John Needham, Global Head of eSports at Riot Games said, “After a year full of unexpected challenges, incredible competition and great achievements for their eSports, they are also looking forward to a season that should be even more thrilling.”

“It’s only fitting that we return to China, home to our biggest league and tens of millions of longtime fans, to produce a major eSports event in one of China’s most innovative cities,” he continued.
