Indopride! Lokapala Game Will Be Competed at PON XX Papua 2021

GridGames.ID – The National Sports Week or better known as PON, is planned to be held again in 2021.

The 20th PON will be held in October 2021, which will take place in Papua, where Esports is one of the sports being contested.

Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), Norman Marcioano, stated that Lokapala as a game made in Indonesia will be competed at the XX Papua PON 2021.

This was conveyed by Norman after visiting Anantarupa Studios as a Lokapala game developer on Thursday (17/12/2020) which GridGames reported from the Kompas.com page.

The birth of Lokapala seems to break the assumption that Indonesian developers are unable to compete with the superpowers in esports games, such as China and Korea.

“In the future, I also want KONI to be an important part in promoting and encouraging Lokapala as a national esports game,” said Norman.

Norman also said that KONI through PB Esports would provide an opportunity for Lokapala to become one of the games being competed.

Lokapala has the potential to become a local esports game to fill the national esports stage.

This esports game is the only one that elevates 8 values of chivalry that reintroduces forgotten culture and history, so that playing Lokapala can be useful for character building for the nation’s children.
