Respawn Entertainment Becomes the First Game Developer to Win an Oscar!

GridGames.ID – The latest news comes from game developer Respawn Entertainment, who just managed to bring home the 2021 Oscar.

Respawn Entertainment’s success in bringing home this prestigious trophy cannot be separated from the inclusion of their film, entitled Colette, into the nomination for the 2021 Oscar winner at the Academy Awards which took place on April 25 yesterday.

But in the end, Colette not only became the first game developer-made film to be nominated for an Oscar, but also won it.

Previously, Colette was known to be nominated for the 2021 Oscar winner in the short documentary category.

In the title race in that category, Colette competed with other films such as A Concerto is A Conversation, A Love Song For Natasha, Do Not Split, and Hunger Ward.

Despite having 4 other competitors, Colette still managed to amaze the jury at the 2021 Academy Awards and won this title.
