GridGames.ID – The development of eSports in Indonesia has penetrated various circles and backgrounds. Recently, a political party called the Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI) held the Indonesian eSports Games (IEG) which was announced at a Press Conference at The Pallas, SCBD Region, South Jakarta (25/9).

Currently PKPI is the only party that has an eSport division and fully supports the realm of eSports in Indonesia.

This press conference was attended by Kevin ‘xccurate’ Susanto, Ariyanto ‘Lakuci’ Sony (player legend Dota), Andrew ‘Bali’ Joseph (player legend from the CS:GO game who is now the coach of the XCN team), Yudi Kurniawan (Head of the PKPI eSports Department). ) and Frans Silalahi (IEG Organizer Representative).

Yudi Kurniawan said, with the holding of IEG, it could be a reference for gamers and eSport participants in Indonesia to grow new seeds in the gaming world and Indonesia could have talent in international eSports.

“The goal of IEG is not only to advance the world of eSports in Indonesia, but together we support bringing the name of Indonesia, so that it becomes number 1 in the world,” said Yudi.

Frans Silalahi as the representative of the IEG organizer also said that IEG’s other goal was to create an eSport team forum in Indonesia.

“Hopefully IEG can provide opportunities for young people who have good playing skills but have not been noticed by the owner team, so that they can become young or new talents to regenerate existing eSport teams,” added Frans.

IEG plans to start the qualifying round in November-December 2018.

Proceed to the playoffs which will take place in January 2019 and the grand final in February 2019.

There are 6 games that will be competed at IEG, namely Dota 2, Mobile Legends, CS:GO, PUBG Mobile, Tekken 7 and Point Blank.

The total prize up for grabs is 580 million rupiah, you know, guys. Goks, huh?
