GridGames.ID – The Free Fire World Series 2021 is scheduled to take place from May 22 to May 29, 2021.

Unfortunately, due to the increasing number of cases of the Covid-19 pandemic, the participating teams from India will be excluded.

This is a big surprise in the Free Fire esports industry in India.

The reason behind the refusal was due to travel restrictions imposed by the Singapore government, the host of the 2021 FFWS competition.

On Thursday (22/4), the Singapore government imposed an indefinite travel ban on all long-term and short-term travel permit holders.

The restrictions apply to anyone with a recent travel history to India in the last 14 days.

This step taken by the Singapore government can be considered as a precautionary measure as India is currently experiencing the second wave of Covid-19.

India recorded daily cases of Covid-19 reaching more than 300,000 cases over the last 24 hours on Thursday (22/4).
