9 Years On, Battlefield 3 Finally Can Use Server MOD
GridGames.ID – Battlefield 3 has finally received some respite from the official server tyranny.
After five years of development, Venice Unleashed (VU) is finally go public.
Reporting from PCgamer, the moderators reverse engineered the Battlefield server code and managed to come up with a platform not only for servers to be privately hosted, but also for all kinds of mods.

VU allows you to configure custom servers, including mod tools to change or customize gameplay tastes.
Previously, you could only play via EA-approved official servers.
With VU you can host and play on a special server for mods.
