Why Anthony Davis Lakers Wear Glasses!
Anthony Davis, who participated fully in the Los Angeles Lakers practice game on Thursday after popping his right eye in Sunday’s game. Davis said the plan was for him to play in the Lakers’ opener against the Los Angeles Clippers this Friday at Walt Disney World Orlando.
“I mean, that’s the plan,” Davis said in a video conference call today. “I got it while re-evaluating tonight by one of the doctors here and just sort of an update on my eyes from them. So my plan is to keep playing.”

Davis was injured with 2 minutes and 10 seconds remaining in Sunday’s first quarter against the Orlando Magic when he went up for the rebound and accidentally poked his eye.
“They said it was Michael Carter-Williams and it was more than helpful,” he said.
Davis fell to the ground, covering his right eye with his hand and he did not return to play after that. Davis, who missed Tuesday’s practice match against the Washington Wizards and Wednesday’s practice, said Anthony Davis had mild sensitivity in his eyes and he should wear glasses protector.

“I’ve done everything, there’s nothing I can’t do,” Davis said. “…Light sensitivity was the only factor for me yesterday. And today is much better. That is the biggest problem for me. But they told me it would heal and wear glasses as a small precaution while training today and if I need them tomorrow then I will wear them too. ”

Lakers coach Frank Vogel also said that he liked Davis’ new accessory.
“He looks better than anyone who’s ever worn it,” Vogel said. “It’s fashion, we have handsome superstars who look great in glasses or whatever.”
Prior to the NBA’s hiatus on March 11 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Davis averaged 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.4 blocked shots a game for the Lakers, who top the Western Conference with a record 49-14.
