Giannis Asks Bucks To Target This Player In Offseason

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been locked in with the Milwaukee Bucks for the long term, which led to Giannis asking the Bucks to target this player in the offseason.

Giannis’ decision made the front office breathe a sigh of relief. Thought that Milwaukee couldn’t get another star other than Jrue Holiday.

That alone is said to be a factor in their ability to keep the MVP player this season.

While they failed to land Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Sacramento Kings, the Bucks have yet to let go of another superstar.

Part of Giannis’ decision to re-sign with the Bucks implies that he will have the desired role/GM player.

And that made the front office have to chase after him, one of which was Bradley Beal, according to Brian Windhorst and Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN :

“Apart from Bogdanovic, he [Antetokounmpo] named Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal a desirable target for the Bucks.
“Without doubting certain teammates, Antetokounmpo has implicitly advised almost everyone in the franchise.
“And the NBA knows the Bucks need to improve their backcourt.

The Bucks were able to improve their backcourt after landing on Holiday.

Who could drastically increase their production through Eric Bledsoe or George Hill.

There are still other places in the backcourt that need to be filled for a contender-type front. The Bucks signed DJ Augustin, who was sure to play a successful role alongside Holiday.

But it could be the average figure of the 33-year-old.

Beal is entering his ninth season in the league and is considered one of the best scorers in his position.

The 27-year-old is having his best season in scoring terms, averaging 30.5 points per game and shooting 45% from the field.

Wizards recently stated that Beal will not be available in any trade talks

But their approach could change soon depending on how the season goes.
