As the offseason progresses, star point guard Chris Paul appears to be gearing up for another move. Surprisingly Chris Paul reportedly doesn’t want to play for the Lakers and wants to return to Clippers.

And while no one knows where he’ll end up (if anywhere), a new report by Stephen A. Smith from ESPN tell us where he’s not going which is the LA Lakers.

“CP3 doesn’t want to go to [Los Angeles] Lakers,” said Smith. “The reason he didn’t want to go to the Lakers was because they were established, they were already doing well, and there was nothing that could be done for them.

“They’re just going to do something for him and that’s chasing the NBA ring.

“He prefers to go somewhere where he can be himself and be the leader he is. “

According to Stephen A. Paul did not want to join the Lakers because they had already won the NBA championship. Obviously, Paul doesn’t want to be seen as a “ring chaser” or someone looking for an easy way out.

Instead, in a report from NBA Insider Ryen Russillo says he’d rather return to the franchise he’s called home for six seasons.

CP3 helps Clippers through one of their best periods as a franchise. A consistent force in the Westerns over the years, the Clippers “City Lob” is not only great, it’s also very interesting to watch.

That’s where Paul is at his best, averaging 18.8 points, 9.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds on a 47.5% shooting percentage.

If he comes back, to play alongside Kawhi Leonard (who seems to have signed him) and Paul George, there’s a good chance he’ll be able to help win the title for them.

This will be a true Cinderella story for basketball fans. Don’t forget to visit SPIN Website for other latest updates, and follow Instagram and Youtube we.
