The Orlando Magic has a curse that could ruin a star player's career

The NBA has a lot of stories and sometimes some of them are not very happy and some are unique. When we talk about curses, the league is thought to have curses some of which recently we saw one involving the Orlando Magic and their famous number one jersey with a curse.

Jonathan Isaac is the player who is currently wearing the jersey and he fell which left him with an ACL injury that tore his left knee. Isaac is not the first player to suffer serious injuries during his stay with Magic.

The first is Penny Hardaway, he was a big hope for Magic after Shaquille O’Neal left the team and Hardaway suffered a knee injury that made him miss 63 games in 1997. After that, he never performed like his previous performance and it turns out the more and more injuries he has during his career which can be very promising.

After Penny, Magic found another great player, Tracy McGrady, who is one of the best shooting guard players this game has seen. But before long he had a fate similar to that of Penny Hardaway. While McGrady was at his peak, he began to suffer a series of injuries that lowered his level and saw him go from one of the best and most attractive players in the NBA to a bench player alone.

To put things into perspective, T-Mac who was selected to be the All-NBA Second Team in 2008 two years later he played 35 games and averaged 8.2 PPG, 3.1 RPG and 3.2 APG. In the end he decided to retire even though he knew that he could be the best player of his generation if his body didn’t give up so quickly.

If you want to add another name to the list you can say Gilbert Arenas also suffered from this curse but when he injured his left knee he was still a part of the Washington Wizards in 2007. He went to the Magic in 2010 and wore the number one jersey, but his injury got worse. .

In essence, these three players have the potential to become superstars and while some have had longer careers than others, it’s clear that they never lived up to their potential. One would expect Isaac to not have experienced the same, but history says otherwise.
