Riot Games Announce All Star 2020 Event To End LoL Special Year!

To conclude this very unique year, Riot Games has announced the League of Legends All Star 2020 event in an online format.

This festive event will be run on 18-20 December 2020.

The All Star event is a celebration of LoL’s most beloved esports figure. Fans are looking forward to the All Star event to see the best players play. This year, Riot aims to include as many inter-regional games as possible.

Format for the 2020 All Star Event

With All-Star playing online, pros and influencers will play from their home or regional studios. That means a new format, divided into two stages: Underdog Uprising and Superstar Showdown.

Underdog Uprising

Friday, December 18 will be the day of head-to-head matches between regions, with the smaller territories aiming to beat the ‘bigger’ teams. The team will consist of the best pro players chosen by the fans.

Superstar Showdown

There is a giveaway contest with a prize of 1 million rupiah in game vouchers in the application!

December 19-20 will feature three superteams each from the region LCK (Korea), LCS (North America), LEC (Europe), and LPL (China). LCK and LPL will appear on the virtual stage on Saturday, meanwhile LCS and LEC will compete on Sunday.

Queue Kings & Legends

Non-pro players will play as BO1.

All-Stars

The most popular pro players voted by fans from LCK and LPL will play on BO3 basis. It looks like there will be some additional play for this match.

All-Stars

The pro player with the most votes from LCS and LEC will draft the team for this match. Each captain of the team will have at least 2 pros from their respective regions.

They will play in BO3.
