Moonton Leaks MSC 2020 Replacement Tournament | SPIN
The biggest Mobile Legends tournament in Southeast Asia, namely Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Championship (MSC) 2020, has been officially canceled by Moonton due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic situation which made MSC 2020 unable to be held on a LAN.
There are also some parties who regret Moonton’s decision regarding the cancellation of MSC 2020 and ask why Moonton didn’t MSC 2020 become an online tournament like the PUBG Mobile Premier League (PMPL) SEA Final 2020.
Azwin Nugraha as Moonton’s Public Relations & Communications Manager told Spin eSports the reason why Moonton doesn’t want to host MSC 2020 online.

“Because we (Moonton) want to ensure all elements and players are in optimal conditions and a supportive environment when they compete in the international arena. We place a high priority on our assets. ” explained Azwin Nugraha.
Azwin also gave Spin eSports a leak about the MSC 2020 replacement tournament, which is currently still being matured so that it can become a half-hearted replacement tournament for MSC 2020.
“Grand finalists of MPL Indonesian Season 5 (EVOS and RRQ), will compete in the MPL Cross-Region Invitational. Currently, our side is still working on a tournament which is planned to be held at the end of June. ” said Azwin.

Spin eSports also asked whether the MPL Cross-Region Invitational tournament is equivalent to MSC and whether it is certain that the upcoming MSC will be attended by MPL ID Season 6 champions and runners-up, not MPL ID Season 5.
Azwin replied that it was still confidential and the information could not be given to us.
