Summer Game Fest 2021 Schedule Changed Again, Here’s the Explanation! – Many companies postpone their events. One of them is the Summer Games Fest, which again changes the schedule.
If previously E3 was canceled due to the corona pandemic, this time it’s scheduled Summer Games Fest also experienced the same thing. This month was supposed to be the biggest month for the Summer Game Fest, but it looks like this event will have to be postponed. The George Floyd case and the Black Lives Matter protests across the US have made many game companies postpone their events. One of them is the Summer Game Fest event which is scheduled for June 2021.
The only Summer Game Fest event that doesn’t have a schedule change is Destiny 2: The Next Chapter, on June 9. In addition, the Guerilla Collective has also been postponed to June 13, or in conjunction with the PC Gaming Show and Future Games Show events.
Postponed Summer Game Fest Schedule
Besides Summer Games Fest, other events such as the Steam Game Festival are again scheduled to take place from June 16 to June 22. While the Upload VR Showcase will take place on June 16 as well. EA has confirmed that the EA Play event has been pushed back from June 11 to June 18. Likewise with the Cyberpunk 2077 Presentation scheduled for June 25, 2021.
Meanwhile, there are several Summer Game Fest events for June 2021 that are still on their schedule, namely the Developer Showcase on June 22. New Games and Expo on June 23, Marvel’s Avengers War Table on June 24, and BitSummit Gaiden event on June 27.
Unfortunately some of the other postponed Summer Game Fest events have yet to announce their new dates. As Sony has yet to confirm their latest schedule for PS5 events which was supposed to take place on June 4, 2021. Blizzard has also yet to announce a new date for their World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Livestream.
Indeed, no one knows for sure when the new schedule will be announced. Likewise, the Black Lives Matter action has not yet reached the light of justice in the US. Therefore, keep an eye on the news on Gamexran so you don’t miss any news about the Summer Game Fest 2021 event.
