Stardew Valley Gets Its New Multiplayer Mode!

Who likes genre games Harvest Moon? You have to try the game Stardew Valley.

Stardew Valley is indie farming simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone and published by Chucklefish.

In Stardew Valley, the player takes on the role of a character who wants to get away from the busyness of office work, taking over his grandfather’s dilapidated farm in a place known as Stardew Valley.

Players manage their time and energy levels as they clear land, plant and care for crops, raise livestock, craft items, mine for precious stones, and engage in social activities, including a love life that leads to later marriage.

Stardew Valley received positive reception from critics when it was released on Steam, and was one of the highest-selling titles on Steam in its first few months of release, eventually selling over a million copies.

On August 1, 2021, Chucklefish gave their latest update regarding the upcoming features in Stardew Valley. Anything?

They provide info that features Multiplayer which they had promised would be released soon. Later when you play this game, Robin will give you an offer of 3 cabins on your land. One of cabins will be used by your friends who work to help your land in this game.

Your friends can do all the activities the main player does, whether it’s managing land, fishing, mining, marrying an NPC or participating in one of the festivals in the game. Each player will have ‘inventory’ each. When your friends are not playing with you, you as the main player can access ‘inventory’ he.

Certain options can only be controlled by the main player, such as when you sleep, when to attend festivals and others.

The good news is, you don’t need to create a server to play Multiplayer, simply by inviting your friends then you will be able to play together. What about players who don’t fit the platform? It’s still being thought about by the dev and will be updated further.

Here, Chucklefish with Eric Barone listening to suggestions from their forum, one of the interesting things is Player-Player Marriage. They really liked the idea and wanted to incorporate it into their game features.

To Local Multiplayer, PVP or Split-Screen Multiplayer still planned further.

And what are its other features?
  • Implementing the farmhand cabins
  • UI and menus
  • Events and festivals
  • Multiplayer NPC relationships
  • Polish, testing and optimization

They said they would do Beta Test at the end of the year on users Steam to try out their latest features. Also recommended for modder to update their mod during the Beta Test, and in early 2021 they will release this feature in patch 1.3 for Windows, Mac and Linux.

How about for Console?

Console will get a patch too after Nintendo Switch. The patch issued will also be larger than other platforms because it is carried out in stages from existing platforms.
