The reason is that the Nioh series has reportedly sold a total of up to 5 million copies in just the last 4 years.

Through the post he gave, Nioh has officially obtained total sales of 5 million copies worldwide for all Nioh series made by Team Ninja. It turns out that the success of the Nioh series is the result of the Brilliant decision that Team Ninja implemented to release the game to all platforms. As a thank you to gamers, they are also preparing Remastered versions of Nioh and Nioh 2 for PS5.
Of course they also don’t forget the PC platform, which this year will get Nioh 2. If you don’t know, the Nioh 2 series itself was previously released exclusively through the PlayStation 4.
