Supercell Invests 390 Billion For 2UP Games!

GridGames.ID – Shocking news came from one of the game developers, Supercell.

As reported by VentureBeat, the developer behind the success of the titles Clash of Clans and Royale Clash invested US$ 2.8 million (equivalent to Rp. 390 billion) for the game studio from New Zealand, 2UP Games.

2UP Game itself is currently focusing on working on a mobile game with a multiplayer mechanism.

2UP co-founder Joe Raeburn said in an interview with GamesBeat that the company strongly believes multiplayer mobile games can make the world a better place.

Especially as people are currently struggling with self-isolation during the ongoing pandemic.

Raeburn also said his first experience playing multiplayer games was while trying the title Silkworm with his best friend on the Amiga computer.

They plan to bring in real-time multiplayer game titles that can be played for years.

Jaako Harlas, as Supercell Developer Relations Lead, said that this is the first time Supercell has invested in a New Zealand company.

Currently, 2UP Games is also opening vacancies for Senior Artist, UI Designer, and Unity Developer.
