GridGames.ID – Boom Esports decided not to renew its contract with Dreamocel on December 5, 2020.

With the departure of Dreamocel, the position of carry post 1 in the DPC tournament was replaced by Drew, but in the rest of the match Drew was also replaced by 23savage as the main standin.

The reason for Boom Esports to exclude Dreamocel from the Dota 2 squad was still unclear until the CEO of Boom Esports spoke to the Rosesa Gaming channel.

Boom Esports CEO, Gary Ongko Putera revealed that the reason for releasing Dreamocel from Boom Esports was not a unilateral decision from the CEO or top management of Boom Esports.

The decision was taken with the consideration of the coach and players of Boom Esports.

The decision-making is also influenced by the performance of Dreamocel which underperform at the end of the 2020 season.

Gary also added that there were several other reasons that he could not disclose regarding the release of Dreamocel from Boom Esports to the entire Dota 2 community.
