GridGames.id – Echo Fox, one of the teams holding the license for the e-sports competition League of Legends has reportedly sold its license.

LCS then announced the vacant LoL franchise slot via Twitter.

It didn’t take long for the position to attract the interest of the Koenke Sports & Entertainment group.

The Kroenke group did not even play around in making offers, $30.25 million was prepared to buy the vacant slot.

Echo Fox was forced to sell the license due to pressure from various parties who came in and out.

First, the case of a racist comment on one of its top brass and second, on the advice of Riot Games, forced Echo Fox to relinquish its rights.

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment is the owner of traditional sports clubs such as Arsenal and the Denver Nuggets.
