Humble team, winner of the 2019 Bekasi regional eSports Presidential Cup

GridGames.ID – The 2019 eSports Presidential Cup finally arrived in the last regional qualifying round, namely in Bekasi City, yesterday 3 March 2019.

The Humble team from Bandung who took part in the Bekasi regional qualification round managed to come out victorious after defeating the Victim Rivals team, the host.

The Victim Rivals team is a superior team consisting of several players who have
has long been in the professional scene of Mobile Legends Indonesia, while the Humble team consists of a group of students from Telkom University Bandung from various majors.

In the first half, the Humble team won the match within 18 minutes and scored the final score 21-5. Schwann from the Humble team managed to become MVP with the hero Kimmy. In addition, DevKoch from the Humble team also managed to get a maniac with the hero Martis.

The Victim Rivals team managed to balance the game in the second half by winning the match with a score of 18-17 with a time of 13.38 minutes. Renbo from the Victim Rivals team managed to become MVP with his hero Alice.

However, in the deciding round, the Humble team came back as champions with a score of 19-10 with a time of 20.35, in this match the MVP was Miracle with the hero Gusion.

Bekasi is the region with the most registrants during the 2019 eSports Presidential Cup, which is a total of 800 teams.

Acting Head of the West Java Youth and Sports Service, Mr. H. De. Dani Ramdan, was also present during the Bekasi regional match at the 2019 eSports Presidential Cup.

“We from Kadispora are ready to welcome and make eSports a new sport. If we now have 800 teams, the next target for West Java is to have a pro team that is ready to compete this year or next year,” he said.

After the regional qualifying round ends, it means that there are a total of 8 representative teams from each region that will compete in the Grand Final on 30-31 March 2019.

“Tomorrow we will start the open qualifiers and 966 teams have registered. From this open qualifier, through the Big Match, 8 winners will be sought against 8 regional representative teams,” said Rangga Danu, Deputy Chairman of the IESPL Organizing Committee.

For those of you who haven’t watched it yet, you can watch the Big Match match live which will be broadcast on Metro TV on Friday, 15 and 22 March 2019 at 13.00 – 15.00.
