Epic Games Announces New Acquisition Of RAD Game Tools Company
GridGames.ID – Epic Games has acquired RAD Game Tools technology and business, according to a post made on Epic Games’ official website (8/1).
RAD Game Tools is a veteran video game software development company with several generations of gaming.
According to the post, “its products and technology appear in nearly 25,000 games and are leveraged by the world’s leading gaming companies, including Epic”.

Epic Games is the owner of the Epic Games Store and Unreal Engine, a popular game development tool.
Reporting from the Polygon page, Epic and RAD plan to integrate RAD’s advanced technology into the Unreal Engine to benefit the developer community and gamers.
Previously, Epic Games had used RAD technology, especially compression technology.
This allows developers to increase the time loading Fortnite, which is currently one of the most popular games in the world.
