Compete with Take Two, EA Buys Codemasters Group for 17 Trillion

According to venturebeat, Electonic Arts (EA) has beaten rival Take-Two Interactive to buy Dirt 5 publisher Codemasters Group.
Unmitigated, the acquisition deal is worth US$ 1.2 billion (equivalent to Rp. 17 trillion), gosh!

The acquisition of a game industry company is indeed common nowadays.
In the first nine months of 2020, this kind of deal was worth more than $20 billion.
Back in November, Take-Two announced that it had bid US$973 million to buy Codemasters.
Before finishing with the deal, the developer, publisher Codemasters, based in the United Kingdom, was even tempted to sell it to EA.
Under the agreement, EA will pay US$7.98 per share for each Codemasters share.
