Blizzard Loses Millions of Players But Still Profits, How Comes?
GridGames.ID – Californian game developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment has lost millions of players in the first quarter of 2021.
In Activision Blizzard’s latest earnings report, the company announced that Blizzard had 27 million monthly active users during the January-March 2021 period.
This number decreased significantly when compared to the first quarter of 2020 which amounted to 32 million players.

Uniquely, although Blizzard Entertainment has experienced a decline in the number of active users, the company’s revenue has grown by 7% from year to year.
Launching from Gamespot.com, the company’s increased revenue thanks to the legendary game Warcraft and its expansion series.
Activision Blizzard revealed that World of Warcraft has a very strong reach and is able to attract a large number of new player participation.
In addition, World of Warcraft is also able to invite its players to continue to be active in the community.

Activision Blizzard defines monthly active users as the number of people who played a particular game in a given month.
