GridGames.ID – The first Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) world championship game, titled M1 World Championship 2019 was held.

The tournament, which presented a total prize of USD 250 thousand, competed 16 teams, of which 8 teams were invited via Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) and 8 qualifying teams held in various parts of the world.

After going through the group phase battle on November 11-14 2019, the top 8 teams continued their battle in the playoffs phase on November 15-17 2019.

M1 itself was held live at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which has successfully attracted the eyes of thousands of viewers ranging from live stream viewers as well as direct visitors.

Of the 16 teams that competed, only 8 teams qualified from the group stage to the playoffs, they were RRQ (Indonesia), Evos Legends (Indonesia), VEC Fantasy Main (Vietnam), Burmese Ghouls (Myanmar), Axis Esports (Malaysia), Todak (Malaysia), Sunsparks (Philippines), and 10second Gaming + (Japan).

Uniquely, in the Grand Final, two Indonesian teams known as El Clasico, RRQ and EVOS Legends were reunited.

With a final score of 4-3 over RRQ, EVOS Legends managed to win and become the MLBB world champion for the first time.

Not only bringing home the title, Donkey et al. also brought a cash prize of USD 80 thousand of the total tournament prize.
