The reason is, the latest software update for PS4 version 8.00 was launched today (14/10) globally.
This update includes several changes to the Party and Message features, New Avatars, updated parental controls and much more.

In this update, Party and Messages will be easier to find because the Unit Interface (UI) has been improved, guys.
So, you can start party chats or send messages to friends more easily on PS4 and PS5 when they launch.
