1.3 Million Online Stalker Player Accounts Hacked, Personal Data Leaked and Sold

Online Stalker

The Stalker Online Game has been hacked by hackers and around 1.3 Million player accounts have been hacked by the hackers. Hackers who have hacked the game account have threatened to sell the account on a darknet site if the account owner does not contact him immediately.

Stalker Online itself is a game made by an Australian studio, Big World Technology. Stalker Online is a popular MMO game played by millions of players, this game is adapted from a novel entitled “Roadside Picnic” by Arkady and Boris Strutgatsky.

The game has now been successfully hacked by hackers and the hacker has data in the form of passwords, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, and IP addresses from the player’s account that was successfully hacked. The hacker attempted to sell the data on a darknet hacker forum but the price has not been disclosed.

The use of the MD5 algorithm to protect passwords in the database is suspected of being a hacker’s loophole to hack into player accounts. Players affected by the hack are advised to change their passwords immediately to anticipate things that are not desirable.
