Based on information compiled via JagatPlay, Daniel Ahmad, who is an analyst in the video game industry, reports that Tencent has a 5% stake in Game Science Studio. Even though Tencent has invested, Game Science Studio will continue to develop their own games without any pressure from this Chinese company.

Even so, Tencent and Epic Games will continue to provide support for Game Science Studio. The support they both provide to the developer is related to the Unreal Engine. For your information, the developer uses the Unreal Engine as a platform for making Black Myth: Wukong.

You need to know, there are several interesting things from Tencent’s investment in the Black Myth developer: Wukong. For example, Yocar, CEO of Game Science Studio, was a former employee at Tencent several years ago. Unfortunately, he left the company because Tencent had no intention of developing AAA games.
