Not just for gaming, Discord is now filled with other communities
Not just for gaming, Discord is now filled with other communities – Discord has now shifted. From chat for gamers, it is now filled with communities outside of gaming.
First time launched in 2021, Discord managed to become a popular place for gamers to communicate. Either as a place to chat while playing games or as a community of big gamers. But as Discord has grown and more and more communities outside of gaming have joined. The Developer finally shifted their focus in another direction. Or is it no longer intended for gamers.
The large number of users or communities that are present on Discord, is caused by the coronavirus pandemic that is currently endemic throughout the world. Currently Discord is rumored to have more than 100 million active users and 6.7 million active servers Every month. Of that number, most servers are now no longer focused on just gaming. But Discord is now filled with fandom, roleplay groups and more.
DISCORD
Discord has now implemented many new features that are needed by many people. Now users can more easily do onboarding, video server and template server. Shifting focus as a chat application that is more friendly, accessible and tailored to the needs of their users. So Discord is now no longer focused on just gaming, but as a more flexible service for anyone.
For those of you who don’t know, Discord actually has bot server support. Where this bot will do whatever the users ask, such as play music or help people play Dungeons and Dragons remotely.
Now Discord has turned into a chat service. You can use Discord more flexibly and create your own community. Of course, this is an early stage, there is a possibility that in the future Discord will bring new features that are much more useful for its users.
