Indiana Jones Game Idea Since 2009

One of the game’s surprising announcements in early 2021 was that MachineGames was working on a game Indiana Jones with Todd Howard as producer. In a recent interview, Howard said that the game idea Indiana Jones It’s been on his mind since 2009.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Howard said he was “very excited” about the game Indiana Jones which he is currently working on.

“The Idea Has Been Around Since 2009”

“I thought I originally offered the game Indiana Jones to George Lucas in 2009 and I’ve been trying to find a way to make it ever since,” Howard said.

“I think the work MachineGames has done, they are just phenomenal developers and storytellers. And when I started talking to them about it [Indiana Jones], it fits perfectly.”

Another interesting fact is that Howard turned out to be a huge fan of the franchise Indiana Jones. This is evidenced by the existence of a mini replica of the “Ark of the Covenant” from his office desk.

MachineGames Develops Indiana Jones Game

Howard added that they will reveal more updated information about the game Indiana Jones in the future. For now, he simply said that MachineGames were “the best team in the world to do this and they did a phenomenal job”.

MachineGames was first founded in 2009. ZeniMax Media acquired the studio in 2010. Since then, they have focused on narrative-based games, such as Wolfenstein: The New Order.

In early 2021, Todd Howard and MachineGames announced that they were working with Lucasfilm Games to bring the franchise back to life Indiana Jones. Bethesda said at the time that “it will take some time before we reveal more information, but we are very excited to share today’s news”.
