Want to Develop Fall Guys Further, Epic Games Acquires Mediatonic

GridGames.ID – Unexpected news comes from Fortnite developer Epic Games.

The studio that developed the popular battle-royale title has acquired game studio Tonic Games Group, the developers behind the successful title Fall Guys.

The agreement with the undisclosed number was announced today (3/3).

According to an Epic Games blog post, Fall Guys will remain available on Steam for now, and the developer is still bringing the game to the Xbox and Switch platforms.

Epic and Mediatonic say there are currently no plans to make the game free to play.

Epic also confirmed its plans to make the PC version of Fall Guys available on the Epic Games Store.

Interestingly, Fall Guys is built using the Unity game engine, Epic’s rival Unreal Engine.
