RRQ Athena Wins PUBG Mobile Star Challenge 2018

GridGames.ID – The best PUBG Mobile competition in the world, the first PUBG Mobile Star Challenge just found a winner, he is the Rex Regum Xeon team aka RRQ.

RRQ is an eSport team from Indonesia. However, for the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge 2018 event, the RRQ division that won it was RRQ Athena, which is a PUBG Mobile division from Thailand.

Huh? Why is RRQ not represented by the PUBG Mobile division from Indonesia?

The answer is because to take part in the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge, you must pass the local qualification round in each country and region.

Well, RRQ PUBG MObile Indonesia Division only managed to occupy the third place, so the quota for Indonesian representatives in the first PUBG Mobile “World Cup” event went to Bigetron eSports who won it.

Even so, the achievements of eSport teams from Indonesia and Southeast Asia have proven not to be underestimated.

Even though they didn’t manage to win the title, Bigetron eSport’s actions from the first day really stole the attention, even being ranked 8th in the standings of the 20 teams that competed.

In fact, their toughest rival, the CPT team from China was not able to catch up, even though they managed to get a chicken dinner in the last round, round 12 which ended at midnight.

Well, even though Indonesia has not won yet, at least, with the success of RRQ, this can be proof that the eSport team in Indonesia cannot be underestimated.

“So, RRQ is indeed an Indonesian eSport team, the owner and CEO are from Indonesia,” said Mas Andrian, CEO of RRQ whom GridGames met in Dubai in person.

Well, hopefully with RRQ’s success in becoming a champion in this world-class event, it can inspire and arouse the passion and development of eSports in Indonesia.
