5 teams representing Indonesia in the MPL Invitational 4 Nation Cup Playoffs

GridGames.ID – The MPL Invitational 4 Nation Cup (MPLI) playoffs finally started today (3/7).

6 of the 17 teams that passed the qualifying round for the past 2 weeks will return to compete in the playoffs which will be held for 3 days, namely 3 – 5 July 2020.

The six teams are Genflix Aerowolf (Indonesia), Burmese Ghouls (Myanmar), Alter Ego Esports (Indonesia), ONIC Esports (Indonesia), Geek Fam MY (Malaysia) and Resurgence (Singapore).

In this playoff round, two well-known Indonesian teams, RRQ Hoshi and EVOS Legends, also competed.

They automatically advance to the playoffs without fighting in the qualifying round because both are runners up and winners of MPL ID Season 5.

In the qualifying round, there were 6 teams representing Indonesia, but only 3 made it through, namely Genflix Aerowolf, Alter Ego Esports and ONIC Esports.

The passing of the three teams further emphasizes Indonesia’s dominance in the esports event, especially Mobile Legends in Southeast Asia.

This was further strengthened by the unbeaten record of ONIC Esports and Alter Ego Esports during the group qualifying round.
