Iverson Says Kobe Will Always Be 2nd Behind MJ

Kobe Iverson MJ

Allen Iverson shared a touching letter to the late Kobe Bryant yesterday, on Kobe Bryant’s day. But now Allen Iverson says Kobe Bryant will always be the 2nd best player behind MJ or Michael Jordan.

The Philadelphia 76ers legend made a ‘Dear Kobe’ message, one day after the iconic Los Angeles Lakers player’s 42nd birthday. Iverson talks about the things they do when they play on the pitch, describing his admiration for Kobe and how great the Black Mamba is.

At some point, he talks about Kobe asking who is the greatest player of all time with AIlen answering MJ, but Kobe is right behind him on the all-time best list.

The Answer recently talked about GOAT and many people are confused by believing Iverson has chosen LeBron James. Well, that’s not the case and he has confirmed that now puts MJ, ‘Black Jesus’ first, followed by Kobe, his most famous student.

“I can’t tell you how many photos I’ve seen of me and you guys, on the free throw line, talking nonsense and just smiling. Every time someone asks me,

“Who is the greatest of all time?”

“I will not persuade you. MJ is always Number 1. I know you guys will say the same thing. Black Jesus, that’s a GOAT.

“But Number 2?

“Number 2, I would always say it was Kobe Bryant. No one is tougher than you. Nobody gets more than me. We are connected forever in this game in this life. I just wish we had more time.”

Iverson was one of the people who deeply felt the loss of Kobe. They met in the NBA Finals in 2001 and although the Lakers dominated the Sixers, Kobe knew he had a great rival in Allen. That duel is a thing of the past, but will never be forgotten like Kobe and his incredible legacy.
