Asia Pacific Predator League This Year Involves Teams From 14 Countries

GridGames.ID – Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 is the second time the largest world-class gaming tournament in Asia Pacific has been held involving 14 countries with a total prize pool of USD 400 thousand or equivalent to 6 billion rupiah.
Today (30/10) is a historic day because the biggest tournament event in Asia Pacific was officially opened at a press conference at The Cause Indonesia, Graha Niaga Thamrin, Jakarta.
The 14 countries participating in this tournament are Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

APAC Predator League 2019 features 2 games, namely DotA 2 and Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
“The re-launch of the Asia Pacific Predator League is a testament to our consistency in advancing the gaming industry and supporting the development of gamers through a platform that brings together the best talents in the region. Through tournaments like this, we believe we can inspire young people to seriously pursue their eSports hobby,” said Herbet Ang, President Director of Acer Indonesia.
The elimination phase will be held in each country. And the qualification stage in Indonesia, will be held in 14 cities in 16 iCafe starting next month, November 2018.
Indonesia itself competed 8 teams in this tournament, including PG Barracx, The Prime, Evos, Boom ID, Capcorn, Alter Ego, Juggernaut Gaming and RRQ.
Acer Indonesia also presents a series of activities on-ground and interesting promos during the 2019 Asia Pacific Predator League campaign.

At the beginning of 2018, to be precise in January, Acer successfully held the 2018 Asia Pacific Predator League Grand Final in Jakarta, Indonesia, with a total of 1197 teams participating, and 8 teams from 8 countries competing in the grand final round to win the title of 1st place in DotA 2.
Last year, the biggest tournament in Asia Pacific made Indonesia the host. And this year it was Thailand’s turn to be chosen to host the 2019 Predator League final in Bangkok in February 2019.
“We, Acer Indonesia, are very proud to have made history as the first host of this prestigious tournament last year as well as establishing benchmarks high for the next event,” added Herbet.
The first kick off of DotA 2 is one of the opening events for the Predator League 2019, namely PG Barracx against The Prime.
